FC Bicholim defeated Five stars Mulgao 2-0 in the 9-a-side Bicholim Taluka level football tournament organised by Vidyavardhak Mandal’s sports Academy in collaboration with Shri Shantadurga Higher Secondary Bicholim as part of celebrating Golden Jubilee year, at Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan, Bicholim.
Kundan Falari, Chairperson of Bicholim Municipal Council was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Naresh Kadkade. Other dignitaries on the dais were Chairman of Vidyavardhak Mandal Vijay Sardesai, Secretary and Manager of Sports academy Abhijit Teli, Treasurer, Rajesh Dhond, Manager of Shantadurga Higher Sec School, Dinesh Mayekar ,Manager of Shantadurga Shishuvatika Dr. Kaustubh Patnekar, Principal Rama Patkar and senior teacher Vijaykumar Nazare.
Winners and runners up team received a trophy and cash prize of Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Two team’s runners up in semifinal also received trophy and cash prize of Rs 3,000 each. Besides this there were four individual prizes
