FC Goa coach Juan Ferrando has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently self-isolating, the Indian Super League (ISL) team announced on Thursday.
The Spaniard is in good health at the moment and has reportedly shown no symptoms. FC Goa are currently monitoring the situation and providing all necessary support.
FC Goa are set to play in the Asian Champions League. They were beaten in the ISL semi-finals by eventual champions Mumbai City. “FC Goa is and will continue to follow all protocols relating to COVID-19. Testing continues to be done with rigour for the entire team. The rest of the players and staff have all tested negative.
“The club urges anyone who came in contact with Ferrando in the past few days to get themselves tested and take necessary precautions,” the team wrote in a statement.
