Shree Rayeshwar, after losing the toss and being put in to bat, managed to post a total of 156/6 in their allotted 20 overs, with Ashwin Haridas contributing a patient 42 off 63 balls. However, Goa College of Agriculture’s bowling attack, led by Jose Jude De Cruz (2/21) and Yash Prabhudessai (1/36), kept the scoring in check.
Goa College of Agriculture’s response was nothing short of spectacular. Yash Prabhudessai unleashed a blistering 70 off just 35 balls, while Nityay Kunkolienkar provided solid support with 56 off 28 balls, propelling their team to victory in just 11.3 overs with a score of 157/3. Yash Prabhudessai's all-round performance, with both bat and ball, earned him the title of “Top Performer” of the match.
The second match of the day saw SV’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, emerge victorious against Dhempe College of Arts & Science, Miramar. Dhempe College, electing to bat first after winning the toss, struggled to build momentum and were restricted to 113/9 in their 20 overs. Kshitij Kamat’s 35 off 40 balls was the lone bright spot in their innings, while Sandesh Samarth (2/20) led the Caculo College bowling attack.
Chasing a modest target, Caculo College faced some resistance from Dhempe College’s bowlers, particularly Rounak Pednekar, who took 3/12. However, Sachin Kerkar’s composed 39 off 54 balls guided Caculo College to victory, reaching 115/6 in 18.2 overs.
