Goa Velha Sport Club edge past Dicarpale Sport Club via tiebreaker 7-6 and moved into the quarterfinals of the 23rd All Goa Our Lady of Merces 8-a-side Inter Village Tournament 2022 played at Our Lady of Hope Church Ground Chinchinim. In the very 2nd minute a powerful shot by Chatur Naik of Goa Velha was well saved by Dicarpale Sport Club keeper Ryan Kispotta.
Jaison of Dicarpale was shown yellow card for rough tackle by referee David in the 11th minute. At half time both the teams played a goalless draw.
After changing over, Dicarpale started pushing for goal and were successful in the 43rd minute through Agnelo Colaco. In the 52nd minute, Chatur Naik effort hit the crossbar. In the injury time Joseph Rodrigues equalised for Goa Velha. The game ended in 1-1 draw. In the tiebreaker, Goa Velha proved to be better shooters 6-5. For Goa Velha - Chatur, Chanda, Sairaj, Krisab, Suresh and Ryan scored while Pratil shoot was saved. And for Dicarpale - William, Agnelo, Milton, Menson, Cliffton scored while Mack and Jaison missed the target.
