Goa lost to hosts Chennai by virtue of lots as the match ended goalless due to bad light in the invitational 60+ football tournament Poona Wale in Chennai.
Goa played the first match against Three Stars Chennai scoring five goals. In the semifinals, they met a tough team from Kannur Kerala, where Goa scored a solitary goal in the last three minutes of the regulation time.
In the finals, Goa played against the hosts and the match ended goalless. Due to bad light no extra time was played and the toss was applied to decide the winners and Goa emerged as runners-up.
