DOHA, QATAR
Portuguese Goans is one of the teams which will feature in the Portugal Fans Qatar football tournament to be held from October 5. Portugal Fans Kerala, Os Quinas and Tugas are the other teams taking part in the tournament which will be held on three days with final on 14 October.
The purpose of the Organizing Committee to hold the event is to "bring together, Portugal fans based in Qatar, regardless of nationality, who support and follow the Portuguese National Football Team Seleção das Quinas, in an organised football environment with a fair play spirit while competing for the best performance and best ranking position in the tournament."
"We wish all participants, including player’s and supporters, a great experience and fantastic moments during the football tournament. Let’s celebrate the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 spirit and atmosphere!" organisers said about the tournament which has been circulated to the participating teams.
The match lasts for forty minutes consisting of two periods of twenty minutes each, with a half-time interval of not more than ten minutes. The four teams will be ranked from 1st to 4 th place after the Group Stage and will be playing the knock-out stage semi-finals followed by final.
Each participating team shall wear the official equipment, jersey and shorts, provided by the organiser and will be dedicated with one of the following jerseys colours; white, red, green or blue. The equipment custom made designs are inspired by the Portugal National Flag colours.
A champions trophy will be presented to the winning team of the tournament. The organiser will present participation certificates to each player of the participating teams.
