In an electrifying finale of the inter-ward football tournament hosted by VP Cana Benaulim at SAG ground Vaddie, Good Angels Sports Club emerged victorious over UC of Benaulim in a tightly contested final, securing a narrow 1-0 win.
Levy became the hero of the match by scoring the lone and decisive goal in the 20th minute. UC Benaulim were unable to breach the sturdy defence of Good Angels despite their relentless efforts and numerous close attempts. The intensity of the game remained palpable throughout, with both teams demonstrating exceptional skill on the field.
Xavier Pereira, the Sarpanch of VP Cana Benaulim, was the chief guest at the concluding function, accompanied by Nicholas Rodrigues and other panch members, who presented the awards.
