Gymnastics Training Centre, Aquem, has brought immense pride to the state by clinching an impressive haul of 17 gold, 70 silver, and 21 bronze medals at the All India Level Wise Gymnastics tournament held at Audium Sportopia, Hyderabad.
"Established in 2014, the centre has emerged as a leading name in gymnastics, offering a comprehensive range of services including aerobics, yoga, dance, martial arts, swimming, weight training, and more," informed the centre's director, Pratap Dhere who attributed their success to the experienced and highly trained staff.
"The centre caters to both children and adults, offering programs in artistic gymnastics, trampoline, acrobatics, and fitness. For young children, fun-filled activities like trampolines, barbells, and balance beams are incorporated to foster physical fitness and develop a lifelong love for sports," he added.
Highlighting the centre's achievements, eight-year-old Veliosha Pereira, a student of Presentation Convent School, Margao, shone at the tournament, winning one gold and three silver medals in the Artistic Level 4 category. "I trained at the centre for two years," Veliosha expressed gratitude to her coaches. She also acknowledged meeting Aruna Reddy, India's first bronze medalist in the World Gymnastics Championship who was a source of inspiration.
