Harsh Mane and Ritika Chelluri continued with their fine run, winning their second successive triple crown while Sakshi K, Janhavi Mahale, Aryaman Saraf, Trisha Joshi and Minoshka Pereira bagged twin titles each, at the State Badminton Ranking tournament organised by BPS Sports Club under the aegis of Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, at Navelim.
Harsh bagged the Sub Junior (U15 & U17) singles titles in emphatic style. He also won the U15 Boys Doubles title partnering Shaheen CK. Ritika emerged triumphant in U13 Girls singles and added the U13 and U15 Girls doubles titles to her kitty, partnering Sagun Singh in U13 and Minoshka Pereira in U15.
Sakshi won her U17 Singles and U19 doubles titles with an impressive performance. Her doubles partner Trisha teamed up with Aryaman Saraf to win the U19 Mixed Doubles title while Minoshka teamed up with Rudra Phadte to secure the U17 Mixed Doubles title. Aryaman along with his partner Yash Halarnkar won their second doubles title of the season, while Janhavi claimed victories in U19 Girls singles and Women’s singles.
Top seed Anjana Kumari, who had won the earlier two State Ranking tournaments, had to concede her Women's singles finals owing to her travel for an All India event. Arnav Saraf / Sparsh Kolwalkar (U13 Boys Doubles), Yash Desai / Ashmeet Parsekar (U17 Boys Doubles), Tejan Fallary / Dhruv Angle (Men’s Doubles) and Tejan Fallary / Yasmin Sayed (Senior Mixed Doubles) were the other winners of the finals.
Following players emerged as Singles Boys and Girls runners-up: Devarsh Kotkar and Palak Ramnathkar (U11 Singles), Rishi Pai Khot and Sagun Singh (U13 Singles), Advait Balakrishnan and Minoshka Pereira (U15 Singles), Yash Desai and Aarohi Coutoncar (U17 Singles), Anish Kamath and Nidhi Desai (U19 Singles), Ayaan Shaikh and Anjana Kumari (Men’s and Women’s Singles).
Following pairs emerged as Doubles Boys and Girls runners up: Rishi Pai Khot / Atharva Bakhale and Aaryaa Metry / Dimple Revankar (U13), Advait Balakrishnan / Parasmay Shenoy and Sanvi kelekar / Aliya Cruz (U15), Rudra Phadte / Shrijay Naik (U17 Boys), Ashmeet Parsekar / Trisha Joshi (U17 Mixed), Yash Desai / Ashmeet Parsekar (U19 Boys), Nidhi Desai / Janhavi Mahale (U19 Girls), Yash Halarnkar / Nidhi Desai (U19 Mixed), Fredrick Fernandes / Floyd Araujo (Men’s) and Ayaan shaikh / Anar Singbal (Senior Mixed).
Digambar Kamat, Former Goa CM and Margao MLA, Santosh George (President, BPS Sports Club), Prasad Chitnis (Treasurer, BPS), Sandeep Heble (Secretary, GBA), Voluciano Dourado (Coordinator) and Vinayak Kamat (SAG Coach) graced the closing function.
