Goa Badminton Association secretary Sandeep Heble has been appointed as Goa's Chef De Mission for the upcoming 37th National Games to be held in the State.
Heble, an active member of various sports associations and the media coordinator of the Goa Olympic Association (GOA), has been a driving force in the organisation of various State and national-level sports tournaments in the State. He has been appointed for the important role by the GOA.
Speaking about his appointment, Heble said, "I'm delighted to have been chosen as the Chef De Mission for the 37th National Games in Goa. After a long wait, our athletes are eagerly anticipating this prestigious event, which is making its debut in our State. I'm honoured to have the Goa Olympic Association's trust in me, and I eagerly await the Games like the rest of Goa, ready to collaborate with athletes, the Goa Government, the National Games Committee, State Sports Associations, and other stakeholders.
"Together, we will all strive to do our bit to transform this mega event into a resounding success, leaving a lasting sports legacy for Goa. May the Games fuel excellence, forge legacy and make this Goa's biggest sporting triumph!," the sports administrator said.
