Sesa Football Academy will clash with Diamond Harbour FC at Naihati Stadium on Monday at 3 pm, aiming to revitalise their I-League 3 playoff campaign.
After a narrow defeat to Karbi Anglong Morning Star FC in their previous match, Sesa currently sit in fourth place with three points, having won one match and lost one. Diamond Harbour FC, on the other hand, lead the standings with three points from their single victory so far this season.
Head coach Charles Dias emphasised the importance of this match as a must-win for his team. "We have a very difficult match against Diamond Harbour. After our last loss to Karbi Anglong, it's crucial that we perform well," he stated.
Dias noted Diamond Harbour's strong defensive organisation, indicating that the match would be a significant challenge. "We had a disappointing result in our last league match, but this is our chance to make a comeback and demonstrate that we are ready to perform better," he added.
While acknowledging the limited time for physical and psychological recovery after the previous game, Dias expressed confidence in his team's ability to secure a victory. "We know Diamond Harbour is a strong team, but we have the experience and determination to compete effectively," he said.
