Jayesh Velip scored five and John Fernandes struck thrice as Pax of Nagoa Sports Club routed Arlem Youth Association 10-0 in the Salcete Zone GFA Third Division League at Nagoa ground on Monday. Princen Costa scored the other two goals for the winners who led 5-0 at the break.
At Carmona ground, Carmona Sports Club registered a solitary goal win over Ambelim Sports Club. The only goal of the game was scored in the 44th minute by Neil D’Cruz. Aliston Pinto of Ambelim and Ashley Afonso of Carmona SC were cautioned.
At Duler Stadium, Super Goans SC continued their winning spree with a comfortable 4-1 win over Holiday SC. The winners led 3-0 at the break with goals from Bhargav, Austin Diniz and Sohan Nagvekar. In the second half, Holiday SC pulled a goal back through Ray D’Souza. Kennrick Menezes then added the fourth for the winners in the 73rd minute.
At Panchayat ground, Tuem, St Sebastian SC trounced Bhumika SCC. St Sebastian were in total control of the game right from the word go and scored their first in the 14th minute through Noel Viegas. Veron Pereria added their second in the 18th minute and Jewel Fernandes scored the third just before the breather to give St Sebastian a comfortable three-goal advantage at the break.
In the second half, at the hour mark, Pratik Naik added the fourth. Daued Maldar scored an own goal to give consolation to Bhumika in the 76th minute. Rawnak Mapsekar then scored the fifth for St Sebastian in the dying minutes of the game.
