A sensational four-goal haul, including a hat-trick by Jonathan Leitao, powered Futebol YA to a commanding 8“3 victory over Arlem Youth Association in the GFA Third Division Salcete Zone League, played at the Raia Panchayat Ground on Tuesday.
Futebol YA dominated proceedings from the start. Jonathan Leitao opened the scoring in the 11th minute, quickly followed by a penalty conversion by Ridesh in the 13th and a goal from Adler Telles in the 17th to make it 3“0 early on.
Shanon Furtado netted a brace, while Jeff Gaunkar also scored twice. Jonathan completed his hat-trick in style and added a fourth later in the match, showcasing his clinical finishing. Reagan Vaz rounded off the tally by sending the rival goalkeeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Despite conceding three goals, Futebol YA’s attacking prowess sealed a dominant win and solidified their position in the league.
