Kalina Rangers beat Boom x Camilo A 1-0 to earn the right to represent Goa in the national finals of Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five.
The Goa qualifiers for the global five-on-five football tournament witnessed the participation of 52 teams. Danish Khan, Melvin Barboza, Craig D’Souza, Clinton D’Souza, Johnson D’Silva, Scott Moraes and Dion Menezes represented Kalina Rangers at the Goa qualifiers at Play Goa, Caculo Mall.
The qualifiers were played from August 21 to September 12 across 18 cities in the country in Indore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Bangalore, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Siliguri, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Dimapur, Bhubaneswar, Kochi, Chandigarh and Goa. The winning teams will compete at the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five national finals for a chance to make it to the Red Bull Neymar Jr’s Five 2021 World Finals in Qatar. It is the Brazilian star’s signature tournament and the biggest 5-a-side football event in the country -- in terms of locations and participants.
