Kreeda Prabodhini, Porvorim defeated AK Rangers, Margao by 25 runs, while SNCA, Moula registered a 23-run victory over Future Stars Cricket Academy in the 2nd U-14 All Goa Exposure Trophy cricket tournament matches.
Despite interruptions due to rain, the organisers worked hard to prepare the ground and successfully completed both fixtures.
In the 15-over morning fixture, AK Rangers won the toss and elected to field. Kreeda Prabodhini posted 107/3 in their allotted overs, thanks to a brilliant knock of 62 by Alishan Alam and 29 from Dhruv Rathod. Shlok Borkar was the pick of the bowlers for AK Rangers with figures of 2/12.
Chasing 108 for victory, AK Rangers were restricted to 82/9 in 15 overs. Malhar Naik top-scored with 25, while Shlok Borkar contributed 12 runs. Raghav Vir Singh and Gyan Singh Chawan claimed two wickets each for Kreeda Prabodhini.
In the afternoon 20-over match, Future Stars Academy won the toss and opted to field first. SNCA, Moula scored 141/7 in 20 overs with Yash Chari making 51 and Ekansh Dhuri adding 45. Aarush Jamuni impressed with the ball for Future Stars, picking up 4/13.
In reply, Future Stars Cricket Academy managed 118/9 in 20 overs. Kshithij Assoldekar top-scored with 48, while Mangesh Kumar chipped in with two wickets for 17 runs as SNCA, Moula sealed a 23-run win.
