Mandovi Boys claimed the prestigious title in the fifth edition of the Loliem Champions League 2025 Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, organised by Omkar Khel & Sanskrutik Mandal and Xitij Foundation,at Green Forest Ground, Kalmat, Madditolop, Loliem.
In the final, Mandovi Boys defeated Let's Go Forward from Agas-Mashem by 6 wickets. After winning the toss, Mandovi Boys elected to field first. Let's Go Forward posted 44 runs in 4 overs, losing 3 wickets. Akshay Bhandari was the top scorer with 36 runs. For Mandovi Boys, Adarsh Velip was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets.
Mandovi Boys chased down the target in just 3.3 overs, losing 4 wickets. Vinesh Satarkar led the charge with 31 runs, while Amar Naik contributed 8 runs to help the team reach 47 runs. Akhil Devastali took 2 wickets, and Saurav Naik claimed 1 wicket for Let's Go Forward.
Mandovi Boys reached the final by defeating Jai Amba Helping Boys in the first eliminator, while Let's Go Forward triumphed over Crezy XI in the first semifinal and Jai Amba Helping Boys in the second eliminator.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri Ajay Lolayekar, former Sarpanch and Panch member of VP Loliem-Polem, as the chief guest. Prashant Naik, Chetan Acharya, and other dignitaries were also present.
Vinesh Satarkar was awarded Best Batsman and Man of the Tournament, while Amar Naik was named Best Bowler of the Tournament.
