MARGAO: Livval Sports Club blanked Maina SC 3-0 to secure a spot in the final of the Batora United Curtorim Women's Festival Soccer Tournament at DSYA Ground, Curtorim, on Wednesday.
Anila Barretto opened the scoring for Livval Sports Club in the 6th minute, then doubled the lead with her second goal in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute, Swellen Fernandes of Maina SC missed a chance to get on the scoreboard. Barretto completed her hat-trick with a third goal for Livval Sports Club in the 25th minute, sealing the victory.
The Chief Guest, Oswald Souza, PE teacher at St. Xavier Institute Curtorim and Deputy Sarpanch of the Village Panchayat Raia, presented the "Woman of the Match" award to Anila Barretto in the presence of Mr. James D'Costa, Panch of the Village Panchayat.
