MARGAO
Margao Sports Club thumped CAC Cansaulim 4-0 in the inaugural match of Loutolim Panchayat Cup organised by Socio-Cultural Club Lotoulim, at Montir ground, Lotoulim, on Thursday.
In the first session of play, CAC cansaulim's Arron Fernandes missed the opportunity to score in the 10th minute while Margao's Francisco Andrade left footer missed the target by whiskers before the half time.
Changing over, Margao drew first blood through Hanshlum Furtado with a neat placement in the 40th minute while Dominic Soares' shot from the box was punched away by Margao keeper Carol Soares. Later on, Edison Dias scored for Margao in the 50th minute. In the last quarter, Hanshlum Furtado scored twice in the 55th and 60th minutes to complete his hat-trick.
Sarpanch of Lotoulim Joana Fernandes presented man of the match to Hanshlum Furtado.
