MARGAO
The Margao Strikers emerged victorious in the All Goa tennis-ball cricket tournament, organised by the South Goa Advocates Association, clinching the title after a thrilling final against Patkar’s XI.
The match, held at the MCC Ground in Margao on Saturday, saw the Strikers set a competitive total of 27 runs in their four overs. Patkar’s XI fell short, managing only 20 runs, thus losing by a margin of 7 runs.
Baburao Sutar, the captain of the Margao Strikers, led his team to victory, while Tejal Borkar was named the Man of the Match for his standout performance in the final. Additionally, Saish Shirodkar was honoured as the Man of the Tournament for his consistent performance throughout the competition.
In individual awards, Harshal Ghate of the Prosecution Warriors was named the Best Bowler and Coburn of United Brothers was the Best Batsman.
