MES’s Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar defeated Shree Mallikarjun & Shri Chetan Manju Desai College Delem, Canacona by 9 wickets in the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Championship for Women, at Goa University Cricket ground, Taleigao.
The toss was won by MES’s Vasant Joshi College who elected to bowl first.
Shree Mallikarjun & Shri Chetan Manju Desai College posted 50/8 in 10 overs.
Ratika Pagi 19(15) was the top scorer of the innings. Sanjana Kaskar (2/09) and Harshada Kadam (1/05) were economical with their bowling.
In reply, MES’s Vasant Joshi College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar chased the target in 7 overs. Harshada Kadam 19*(20) and Pooja Yadav 10*(11) got their side over the finish line.
Only Manjita Velip (1/4) was the lone wicket taker for Canacona college.
In the second match, Vidya Vikas Mandal’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao won by 85 runs after defeating Govt College of Commerce and Economics, Borda-Margao.
The toss was won by Vidya Vikas Mandal’s Shree Damodar College who elected to bat first.
They posted 128/3 in 10 overs thanks to some fine batting by Maishree Bandodkar 51(37) and Ishika Nayar 29(19). Vidhyashree Mane (1/24) was decent with the ball for Borda.
In reply, Govt College of Commerce and Economics, Borda-Margao were restricted to 43/8 in 10 overs.
