PHC Balli team beat Somnath Boys Adnem by 19 runs to win the 2nd All Goa inter-ward cricket tournament in memory of late Laxmikant (Shailu) Dessai, organised by United Boys of Cuncolim, at Cuncolim ground, recently.
Raju Chipkar was named man of the final for his contribution with ball and bat. The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs 22,222.
A cash prize of Rs.11,111 was awarded to runners up team while semi losers had to be content with Rs 2,222.
Sudesh Bhisse was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Kavendra Dessai, president of Shree Shantadurga Kunkalarin Devasthan and Chairman of United Boys Of Cuncolim and other dignitaries.
A total of 32 different teams participated in the tournament.
