PANAJIUnited Daivadnya Mapusa organised the Daivadnya Premier League, a cricket tournament which was held on April 29th and 30th at Mapusa. In all, 10 teams participated which included 169 players. The tournament was held on a league-cum-knockout basis. The tournament winners were awarded with a cash prize of Rs 33,333 as well as a trophy and runners-up with Rs 22,222 and a trophy. The tournament was won by Nanashet XI and runners-up were Rising Boys. Man of the Series was won by Raguvir Lotlikar, Best Batsmen by Amrut Verlekar, Best Bowler by Gopal Nagvekar.
Chess coaching camp conducted at MangeshiPANAJI: Ponda Taluka Chess Association and SRS Vedic Mathematics Academy jointly conducted a chess coaching camp at Mangeshi. Students were trained by Amogh Namshiker. Certificates were distributed by Chief Guest Chinmay Ghaisas, Sagar Sakordekar (President, Ponda Taluka Chess Association and Founder, SRS Vedic Maths Academy), and Amogh Namshiker (Secretary, Ponda Taluka Chess Association). Sagar Sakordekar motivated players to play chess daily and participate in tournaments. Amogh Namshiker gave details of topics covered during the chess coaching camp. Chief Guest Chinmay Ghaisas appreciated the efforts of the organisers for successfully conducting the camp. Radha Sakordekar compered and Amogh Namshiker proposed a vote of thanks.
