MARGAO: Navelim Sporting Club cruised into the semi-finals of the 1st Fernando Abranches Memorial Trophy 2025 with a commanding 4-0 victory over Guirdolim Club at the Verna Panchayat ground. The tournament is being organized by the United Club of Verna.
From the outset, Navelim dominated the match, and it didn’t take long for them to take the lead. Ronaldo Pereira opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a precise finish, giving Navelim an early advantage.
In the second half, Navelim's attacking play became even more relentless. Star forward Noah Luis put on a stunning display, scoring two goals in quick succession to extend their lead. Ronaldo Pereira then completed his brace with a clinical finish, assisted by Luis, bringing the score to 4-0. Guirdolim Club struggled to find their rhythm as Navelim sealed their dominant victory.
Noah Luis' outstanding performance earned him the Star of the Match award, presented by Gabriel Rodrigues, Joint Treasurer of the United Club of Verna.
