Paldem defeated hosts United Club of Unjirim 6-5 via the tiebreaker and moved into the quarterfinals of United Club of Unjirim Inter-ward football tournament played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim on Tuesday. Godwin Mascarenhas broke the deadlock in the 5th minute. As the match progressed it was a fierce battle between the two teams. In last minute of the match, Alister Costa equalised for Unjirim United. In the tiebreaker, Paldem got the better of Unjirim.

MARGAOFC Goa sealed their place in the quarter-finals of the Goa Police Cup with a comfortable 3-1 win over Youth Club of Manora at the Duler Stadium in Mapusa. Early strikes from Vasim Inamdar and HP Lalremruata helped the young Gaurs set the tone before a red card to their keeper further crippled Manora.The Manora boys, though did show great heart to eke their way back into the game before halftime and certainly had a clear chance of pulling it all back in the second half.…
