Pavitra Lingsugur of RCC Vasco won the RCC MHS Chess Trophy by remaining unbeaten in the tournament, scoring 8 points from 8 rounds. In the final round, she defeated her elder brother Pavanaj Lingsugur to secure the victory.
Ved Naik of RCC finished second by defeating Piyush Narvekar while Ishan Pillai of MHS secured third place by winning against Aaron D'Souza.
The tournament was exclusively organised for unrated players by RCC Vasco and Murgaon High School at the school in Headland Sada, Vasco. Category prizes in age groups of U-7, U-9, U-11, and U-13 were awarded: U-7: Rishab Gawas, Drisha Ghonge; U-9: Pagi Advaith, Mandrekar Anirudh, Survi Kelosker, Anvi Tari; U-11: Aaron D'Souza, Kesarwani Samarth, Sawant Aarna, Mrunmayi Pawar; U-13: Gawas Rudra, Nagvekar Vansh, Sanvi Madgaonkar, Megha Ganachari; Bhavesh Gawde (up-and-coming player).
