Raia Sporting Club emerged as champions of the 7th Martin's Cup after defeating Sporting Club Davorlim 4-2 in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regular time. The match, organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club, took place at the Panchayat Ground in Betalbatim, recently.
Revee Dcosta put Sporting Club Davorlim ahead in the first half, while Raia Sporting Club equalized in the second half through Swedon Barbosa. The match proceeded to a penalty shootout, where Raia proved to be the better shooters, clinching the victory and the coveted Martin's Cup.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Aleixo Sequeira, Minister for Law and Environment, who was the chief guest. He was joined by Rev. Fr. Adriano Furtado (Parish Priest of Our Lady of Remedios Church, Betalbatim), Mrs. Carafina Pereira (Founder of Martins Corner), Rev. Fr. Agapito D'Cunha (Our Lady of Remedios Church), Rev. Fr. Luciano Falcao (Pilar Society), Mr. Anthony Fernandes (Sarpanch of Betalbatim), Mr. Anthony Pango (Vice President of GFA), Mr. Prinston Rebello (Punjab FC), Bonny Pereira (President of Betalbatim SC), and other members of the Village Panchayat, Betalbatim, along with GFA Executive Committee members.
