Rebello Pandal Maina defeated Cocktails and Dreams Palolem 4-3 via tie-breaker to win the Apollo Boys of Bomonsai Sanguem Cup 7-a-side football tournament played at Sanguem Sports Complex.
Desmond Fernandes put Cocktail and Dreams ahead in the 15th minute, but 20 minutes later, Seritorio Montero equalised for Rebello Pandal. In the tie-breaker, Rebello Pandal netted through Roque Borges, Sezwin Fernandes and Joseph Monteiro, while Cocktail and Dreams scored through Desmond Fernandes and Alistair Fernandes. Individual prizes: Best goalkeeper of finals - Joseph Monteiro (Rebello Pandal), Best goalkeeper - Aleward Mascarenhas. Savitri Kavlekar was the chief guest at the prize presentation function and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up in the presence of club members and other dignitaries.
