MARGAO: Rodrigues Youth defeated Miracles boys of Mobor to sail into the finals of late Edoviso & Julieta Dias Memorial Soccer,organised by Santa Cruz Club Of Cavelossim, at Fr.Druston & Wellington ground, Cavelossim.
In the first half a through pass by Dannon Mendes to Blayne Rodrigues who flicked the ball which was smartly saved by Mobor keeper Reaston.
The score level 0-0 at half time.
In the second half, Rodrigues Youth mounted pressure on Mobor boys but failed to score.
Maven Barretto power-packed shot hit the cross bar beating the Rodrigues keeper Samuel Rodrigues .Mobor too mounted pressure and a move by Jana D' Costa to Ayden Costa missed an easy chance to score.
The match ended goalless.
In the tie-breaker, Bryce, Crison, Blayne and Johan scored for Rodrigues while Jana,Steve,Ayden found the net for Mobor.
Rodrigues Youth will now meet Bandoi Boys in the finals on September 16.
