Sai Veterans registered a superb win over Batora United Curtorim in the tiebreaker veterans football tournament organised by Batora United Veterans Curtorim at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim.

In the first half, Sailesh scored the first goal in the 30th minute for Sai Veterans. In the second half, Richardo scored an equaliser for Batora United in the 70th minute and the match ended in a 1-1 draw to force a penalty shootout.

Sai Veterans emerged victors in the penalty shootout to collect a cash prize of Rs 42,000 and the winners' trophy. The runners-up were awarded a prize of Rs 32,000 and a trophy. Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.
