Sao Jose de Areal entered the semifinals by defeating Curtorim Gymkhana 2-0 in the Festival Cup 2023 organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club at Betalbatim Panchayat Ground, on Tuesday.
Muhammad Mansoori opened the account for Areal in the 10th minute.
After the break, both teams played attacking football and in the 58th minute Arayan Carvalho scored for Sao Jose de Areal to make the score 2-0.
On Monday, Dunes Sports Club edged past Navelim SC 2-1 to move into the semifinals.
Dunes scored their first goal in the 5th minute through Arjun but the joy was short lived as Navelim Sporting equalised in the 7th minute through Prestly Gomes.
As both teams played attacking football, Dunes made it 2-1 through Amit Rane in the 66th minute.
