Hosts Sporting Club Davorlim scored a convincing 3-0 win over St Anthony Sports Club Colva to enter the quarter-finals of the 15th Davorlim Cup, organised by Sporting Club Davorlim, at Davorlim Panchayat ground, on Thursday.
Both teams played attacking football from the word go and Colva had the first opportunity to take the lead when Kabir Khan shot from the box which was well collected by Davorlim keeper Francisco Colaco in the 12th minute. However, Sporting Club Milton sent a long pass to Prince Figueredo who shot into the net to give the lead to his team.
The match in the second half was evenly poised and St Anthony Colva began to take control of the game and were near to take the game on level terms but Daylon's header missed the target in the 40th minute. As match progressed, Sporting Club scored through Veliston Colaco off a header in the 45th minute. Later on, Prince Figueredo completed his brace in injury time to seal the game.
Brenda Miranda gave man of the match to Prince Figueredo of Sporting Club Davorlim.
