SFA conduct AFC 'C' License Course successfully

Sesa Football Academy (SFA) recently concluded the AFC ‘C’ License course at its Sirsaim Campus. Held from September 6 to 16, the prestigious 11-day program was designed to enhance the tactical, technical, and managerial competencies of football coaches. The course attracted 20 participants from Goa and other regions across India.

The course was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Gavin Araujo, Technical Director at SFA, who provided expert instruction in both theoretical and practical sessions. The training offered participants in-depth tactical insights and technical expertise suited for state, semi-professional, and professional-level coaching.

Reflecting on the successful completion of the course, Gavin Araujo said, “It has been a pleasure working with such passionate and dedicated coaches throughout this course. The AFC ‘C’ License is a critical stepping stone for those looking to elevate their coaching careers, and I am confident that the skills and knowledge imparted over the past 11 days will contribute to the continued growth of football in India.”

SFA also recently conducted the AIFF ‘D’ License course at its Sirsaim campus, and has gradually developed a formidable expertise in nurturing and mentoring coaches at various levels from across India.

Additionally, SFA hosted Uvaydo Davlatbekov, a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Grassroots Panel. Mr. Davlatbekov’s visit, facilitated by the Goa Football Association (GFA) and the All-India Football Federation (AIFF), involved a tour of the ongoing ‘C’ License training and an overview of SFA’s grassroots football infrastructure. He was also briefed on Vedanta’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in sports and other sectors.The visiting dignitary was briefed on issues by Melroy Moura, Head of Operations at SFA & Sudhir Menon, AIFF Match Commissioner for I-League Group B matches.
