Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated football ground at Sinquetim Navelim in the presence of Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro and Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza, vice chairman of GSIDC. Speaking through a virtual platform, Sawant said that his government is trying to give best infrastructure during this difficult times and we have never neglected other projects.
The football ground consisting of two dressing rooms, badminton court basketball court, spectators gallery.
The football ground size 84 and 69 mtrs with an additional warm up area of 3 mtrs with subsurface ground drainage, modern grassing and underground sprinkler facilities. Zilla Panchayat members Edwin Cardozo, Ulhas Tuenkar, Navelim Sarpanch Bevinda Gonsalves were part of virtual online function. The project was constructed under GSIDC and the project was initiated by Avertano Furtado, former Fisheries Minister and Navelim MLA.
