Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies, Mapusa defeated Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Sanquelim to win by 3 wickets in the Goa University inter-collegiate cricket men championship at Goa University cricket ground, Taleigao.
The toss was won by Sridora Caculo College who elected to bowl first. Government College Sanquelim were restircted to 101/10 in 19 overs. Madar Desai 24(27) and Sanket Zore 15(16) were the main contributors with the bat. Anish Raul was impressive with his 4/13 bowling figures for the Mapusa who was supported by Vaibhav Warang (3/15)
In reply, Sridora Caculo College of Commerce and Management Studies, Mapusa chased down the target in 18.1 overs. Saish Kerka 27(46) and Pandurang Halankar 15(16) were the top scorers of the innings. Aditya Dalal (3/11) and Sanket Zore (2/30) were commendable with their bowling.
In the second match, Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics won by 137 runs against Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao.
The toss was won by Shree Damodar College who elected to bat first. They posted 215/6 in 20
overs. Kaushal Hattangadi 92 (48) and Kushal Vidya: 62 (42) were the stars of the innings. Vaibhav Bandekar scalped three wickets while Vishwesh Govekar got two wickets.
In reply, VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar were bundled out for 78/10 in 14 overs.
Shoaibh Shaikh 30(23) and Ashwin Shetgaonkar 16 (12) were the only decent contributors to the chase. Saiesh Satardekar and Deep Kaswankar picked up 2 wickets each.
