St Anthony’s Football Club Assolda defeated Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda 2-1 to win the 14th Our Lady of Fatima Cup, held at Dicarpale Ground on Sunday.
Vitorino Fernandes netted both goals for Assolda in the 47th and 59th minutes, while Alister Menezes pulled one back for Paroda in the 60th minute.
The winners received a cash prize of Rs 70,000 and a trophy, while Fr Agnelo YSC Paroda took home Rs 50,000 and a trophy. The prizes were distributed by South Goa MP Viriato Fernandes, MLA Cruz Silva, and Siddhesh Bhagat, along with Fr Joaquim Fernandes (Parish Priest, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Dicarpale).
