MARGAO: St Sebastian Youth Club Murida Fatorda secured a semi-final spot in the 23rd Fr. Basilio Andrade Memorial Tournament, edging out Betalbatim Sports Club 2-1 at Musson Ground on Monday.
Murida quickly capitalized on an early opportunity, launching a long ball to Edgar Noronha. He skillfully dribbled past two defenders before delivering a precise low cross to Wedley Baretto, who tapped it in at the far post to give Murida a strong start.
Betalbatim's Asher Afonso equalized in the 46th minute, but Murida responded with a second goal in the 60th minute, sealing their victory and advancement in the tournament.
