PANAJI
Doubled centurion Suyash Prabbhudessai heaped praise on debutant centurion Arjun Tendulkar as he spoke on his monumental knock and the duo's important sixth-wicket stand.
"Our partnership (with Arjun) was quite wonderful. It was really good and we helped each other out in the middle," Suyash told 'The Goan' at the end of Day 2. "For someone to score a hundred on (Ranji) debut is not easy and the shots Arjun played were tremendous," the Royal Challengers Bangalore batter said of his partner's role in the 221-run stand which swung the match in Goa's direction.
"He (Arjun) showed confidence in his first First Class game and will definitely score more runs in future," Suyash added.
Speaking on his own double hundred, a first at any level, Suyash expressed delight and admitted it is his best knock yet. "As the first wicket fell early, it was important to take the game deep. I scored boundaries off loose balls and decided to stay at the wicket," said the gifted batter.
