SV's Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies (Mapusa) and Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science (Margao) secured wins on day eight of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Men's Championship.
SV's Sridora Caculo College emerged victorious, defeating Don Bosco College of Engineering by 46 runs. After winning the toss and electing to bat, SV's posted a total of 165/8 in their 20 overs. Sai Madgaonkar played a crucial innings, scoring 45 runs off 35 balls, supported by Sabaji Dalvi's 32 off 23. Shivam Chouhan of Don Bosco College took 2 wickets for 21 runs.
In response, Don Bosco College managed only 119/9 in their 20 overs. Gauresh Dhavlikar scored a valiant 48 off 40 balls, but Pandurang Halarnkar's impressive bowling, taking 2 wickets for just 6 runs, restricted their chase. Sai Madgaonkar was declared the top performer for his crucial batting contribution.
Parvatibai Chowgule College secured a comfortable 5-wicket victory over Goa College of Music. Goa College of Music, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, were restricted to 98/9 in their 20 overs. Prajyot Parsekar top-scored with 22 off 28 balls. Sanat Raikar of Chowgule College delivered a strong bowling performance, taking 2 wickets for 17 runs.
Chowgule College chased down the target in 14.1 overs, finishing at 100/5. Afridi contributed a vital 35 off 35 balls, while Sanat Raikar added a quickfire 17 off 8 balls. Swayam Pagui of Goa College of Music took 3 wickets for 19 runs. Sanat Raikar was named the top performer for his all-round contribution with both bat and ball.
