MARGAO: United Club of Benaulim secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Dando Boys Benaulim in the Salcete Zone Third Division league at St. John de Baptist Dando Ground on Thursday.
United Club of Benaulim opened the scoring early in the 8th minute through Bruno Fernandes, who struck again in the 24th minute to give his team a solid advantage. The teams made their intentions clear from the outset, with United Club dominating the match.
In the 45th minute, Ozias D'Sa anticipated a pass perfectly, chipping the ball over the Dando Boys goalkeeper to extend the lead.
The second half saw United Club maintain their dominance, with Sheadon Rodrigues adding to the tally in the 63rd minute. He then completed his brace in the 79th minute, further solidifying their lead. Francisco Fernandes scored a consolation goal for Dando Boys in the 90th minute, but it was not enough to change the outcome.
