Young Boys of Tonca Sports Club defeated Churchill Brothers FC 2-0 in the GFA Goa Professional League, at SAG Trinity ground, Benaulim, on Saturday.
Both the teams started the game on a cautious note and both had equal number of scoring chances.
Interestingly, the game began on a positive note for the both the teams but teams forwards frittered away from close range.
Crossing over, Young Boys of Tonca showed urgency and attacked the rival citadel with gusto and persistant forays paid off when Savish Singh beat the Red machines goalkeeper Subhajit Bhattarchejje hands down. Stung by the set-back, The Red Machines upped the ante but the rival defence stood tall in protecting their citadel. Young Boys of Tonca sealed their rival fate in the 61st minute through Rahul Yadav.
