MARGAO: Ambelim Sports Club delivered a dominant performance against Arlem Youth Association in the XIX Chinchinim-Deussua Village Panchayat Cup Football Tournament, thrashing their opponents 7-1.
Bleston opened the scoring for Ambelim, followed by goals from Cleland, Loyd, Anthony, Hayden, Cleftan, and another from Bleston, giving the team a comprehensive victory. Martin netted the lone goal for Arlem Youth.
Ambelim’s goalkeeper was outstanding between the posts, making several crucial saves to deny Arlem any chance of a comeback.
Cleftan, who scored two goals, was named Man of the Match by Chief Guest Piedade Fernandes, Panchayat member of Chinchinim Panchayat, for his match-winning performance.
