St Xavier’s College, Mapusa won the Inter-Collegiate Men Handball Championship 2025-26, organized by Goa University at Goa University ground, Taleigao, recently.
In the well contested Men’s championship finals, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim with a final score 37-27.
Earlier in semifinals, St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Goa medical College with a score of 16-5. And Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim defeated VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao with a score of 31-20.
Best Player Men was awarded to Chandrakant Shirodkar of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa. In total, 21 men’s teams participated in the two-day championship.
Presentation ceremony Chief Guest Dr. Sameer Patil, Controller of Examination, Goa University along with Balachandra Jadar, Asst. Director of Physical Education and Sports, Goa University presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners ups.
