Tapping into the globally growing market of yacht tourism and opening up a new tourism business opportunity in India's premier tourism state, Champions Group is all set to launch its yacht and 'Floatel' services in Goa.
Speaking to the media, Subhakar Rao, Chairman, Champion Group, expressed, "Goa is slowly becoming a destination of new and innovative tourism initiatives. It is also attracting a class of tourist that look at luxury-experiences. Yacht tourism is one such luxury experience that has a tremendous opportunity in Goa. We wanted to move aggressively in this sector. Therefore we have decided to start-off with two yachts 'Sea Breeze' and 'Free Spirit'. We plan to bring more such yachts into the Goan river waters, especially the hinterland. Our yachts besides the cruising experience, also offers a tourist a complete five-star hotel experience with beautiful and aesthetically designed rooms."
Commenting on the marketing efforts to be initiated by the company in promoting Yacht Tourism globally,"We will be promoting our yacht tourism services through our strategic global alliances, which will make our yacht services available to over 7000 travel agents globally. Our aim is to reach out to the maximum number of tourist and open a new avenue in Goa tourism," Rao expressed.
Further elaborating Rao said, "Goa is seeing a wonderful surge in high-end tourists looking for new tourism experience. We will be also looking at launching Floatel - Floating Hotels and Houseboats to promote hinterland tourism in the beautiful rivers of Goa."
