CYBER-TECH | Google Maps adds new personalisation features

Google Maps has introduced several features that allow users to personalise the app beyond basic navigation. Users can now organise saved places using emojis for different lists, making locations easier to identify.

The app can also scan screenshots taken from blogs, articles or social media, identify place names and save them as a custom travel list.

Real-time ETAs for home and work can be checked by setting addresses and customising icons.

Google Maps also allows users to change the navigation arrow to a custom vehicle icon and plan routes based on a chosen arrival time, helping users manage daily travel more efficiently.
