Amit Majumdar, a Goa based metallurgist and steel industry professional has been appointed a Director of Gujarat NRE Coke Ltd., the flagship company of the Gujarat NRE Group promoted by Mr Arun Kumar Jagatramka and family.
Majumdar is a widely experienced and respected steel industry professional who is now based in Porvorim. He is a Director on the Boards of several other companies like Jai Balaji Industries Ltd, Dempo promoted Aparant Iron and Steel Ltd., amongst others.
GNCL, listed on NSE and BSE, is engaged in the business of manufacture of metallurgical coke in India and is the largest captive coke producer. It has forayed into steelmaking and power generation through the renewable energy route.
