What do you think about the status of cricket in Goa?
It has drastically improved in the last six-seven years. Iremember there was time when the Ranji team consisted of four-five outsiders. Ithink, the younger lot that has come in has been doing exceptionally well andcome up with good results. We have a massive following for GPL matches. Theinterest level pertaining to the sport is growing. In the coming years, if wekeep working hard, I’m sure we will bring laurels to the state.
Sporting legends that you look up to?
Being a cricketer, there’s more about watching them andlearning. Sachin Tendulkar has been doing so well. I have been idolising himmore for his humanity more than his career. Apart from being a sportsperson heis one person who has stood tall against all criticism. This man is just goingon and on. For Bowling, I have been following Brett Lee because he has hadnumerous injuries but always come back and maintain his repute.
Favourite movies?
I’m a movie buff but not much into Hindi movies. I follow alot of telly series. I’m a big fan of How I Met Your Mother, Roadies and Ienjoy ‘Indian Idol’ auditions. It is hilarious.
Do you like reading?
I like reading. Not someone who would finish a book in aday. I love Dan Brown. I’m more of a biography reader. I’ve read Andre Agassiand Michael Jordan’s autobiography.
What do you do when you are not playing?
I love hanging out with friends. I’m more of an intenseperson. I love socialising. It allows me to take a break from things happeningaround. I love resting. I feel too bored if I don’t do anything.
