Hosts Cuncolim Union will clash with Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, in the finals of 9th all-Goa Cuncolim Union Trophy inter-village football tournament organised by Cuncolim Union, at government school ground, Cuncolim, on Saturday at 4.30 pm. Winners will be richer by Rs 40,000 while the runners-up will receive Rs 30,000.
In the semi-final, Cuncolim Union edged past United Club of Benaulim 1-0 while Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, had beaten Rossman Cruz Nagoa Sports Club via sudden death.
Arjuna awardee Brahmanand Shankhwalkar will be the chief guest for the finals while Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias will be the guest of honour. GFA president, Elvis Gomes will preside while former international central defender Mahesh Gawli will be a special invitee. (TGN)
