The CEC interaction is a quasi-judicial inquiry andstatements are being recorded from us as petitioners to the matter related tomining. We have discussed issues and resumption but cannot divulge on anythingbeyond that.

A delegation of us sarpanchas from panchayats that aredependent on mining met the CE to tell them mining existed since Portuguesetimes and as such, the legal mining that was prevailing before 50 years agoshould resume. Iron ore Mining is the only form of transportation we can carryout from these areas and as such should resume. Market traders, vendors,transporters and everybody associated with the ancilliary trade is badlyaffected because mining is stalled.
