Water supply to Bardez will be affected for couple of days as the main PWD water pipeline has burst in Colvale on Wednesday.
A senior engineer of PWD (water supply) has informed that MVR Infra was the culprit as its JCB engaged in carrying out road widening work of the National Highway broke the pipeline on Wednesday morning near the Binani company in Colvale.
“Since it’s the main pipeline, water is still gushing out. Only after water from the pipeline empties will we be able to carry out repair of the pipeline,” said Nitin Neurkar, Executive Engineer, PWD (water).
Meanwhile, the PWD has issued a public notice that there will be restricted water supply to entire Bardez taluka on September 17.
