The one day music workshop organised by the New Academy of Music Arts and Hindi (NAMAH) at the International Centre Goa on April was fun filled day with lots of innovative games specially designed for the event. These activities added a new dimension to the understanding of styles and musical interpretation. Carlos Gonsalves elaborated on the understanding of rhythm through simulated percussion activity. Liudmila Alizarchyk exposed the students to a complete guide to vocal gymnastic. Participants were able to see a marked improvement in vocal range especially after a guided vocal workout. Natallia Kapylova and Liudmila Alizarchyk released their new work on piano etudes especially composed for Indian students to accelerate their sight reading skill. The workshop had a diverse mix of student parents and teachers. All in all, the group had a comprehensive musical experience with an appetite for similar programs designed for the next quarter.
